What an absolute privilege to pay homage to someone who’s drive and motivation to run stems purely from a love for the sport. Wietse’s 40th consecutive Comrades was indeed a memorable occasion and one we’re excited to share.

From home life to daily training leading up to the Comrades, Wietse lives and breathes running, and this short doccie aimed to showcase how his passion ripples through to lives of the people around him.

Many thanks to Wietse and his family for allowing us to ride alongside them during this period, and many thanks to ASICS South Africa for giving us the oppertunity to tell the beautiful story. We hope to one day return and see how he’s doing years on from now.
